So the monsoon has been here for quite a while and hence me and a couple of friends chose to make a quick escapade to good old’ Khandala (a hill station near Mumbai) whilst we could.
The drive from Mumbai to Khandala is surreal to say the least. There is something hypnotic about the majestic valleys and beautiful ghats.
The one colour that incessantly enveloped our entire travel was the colour ‘green’.
I couldn’t help but take in the serenity the colour exuded instilling a sense of peace and calm that was unmatched by any other experience I’ve had.
It then occurred to me how underused this tranquil colour was in the field of menswear and how much more we could make of it as a staple in our wardrobe.
A colour that i personally feel works wonders with green is ‘grey’!
Both being excellent earth tones, are rich, timeless and extremely versatile.
So i decided to put together 2 looks to show how exactly this niche combination could come together and become a wardrobe staple you can always bank on.
Here I’ve put together a look that eeks of ‘PAARTAAYY’
Teaming the pine green basic t-shirt with the casual ash grey blazer with the grim grey detailing along with the white denims and my white Stan smiths, I couldn’t have asked for a better visual palette. Extremely dynamic, this look makes for the perfect Friday evenings with your buddies.
Here i tried going as insouciant as possible and what better way to do it than throw in the perfect pair of cuffed steel grey joggers teamed with the same basic t-shirt along with my good old’ White Stans.
Extremely relaxed yet chic, something like this would be ideal for those long evening strolls and impromptu coffee sessions that we all love.
Throw in a fun cardigan like the one I’ve worn and you have an attire to run a long day of errands in.
Similar Colours (Easiest to Pair): Yellow greens and blue greens.
Contrasting Colours (Harder to Pair): Reds and violets.
Complementary Colours (Hardest to Pair): Mauve pinks.
